Quick Thought About Conan
You know, Conan hasn't been on television for a month thanks to the writer's strike. That means that 80 non-writers on his show are out of work, and while NBC paid them for a while, they no longer are collecting any pay from NBC. So Conan stepped in and pays them out of his own pocket. Bravo, Conan, bravo. That's not something you see every day.
A Goofy Conan Clip
I loved this when I saw it on the show, and I still love it now:
We're Not on Strike!
Despite dozens of questions today, I want to reassure everyone that my fine brand of wit and intelligence is not on strike. I'm not a Hollywood writer. So no Leno or Letterman? Well guess what? You've still got me!
I have never quite understood why people in today's day and age go on strike. Especially UAW workers. Geez, those $65-72/hour jobs must be rough. But oh well, it's just me. And millions of others.
To pass the time during the strike, I wanted to share a funny clip from days of yore (who knows, maybe I'll make it a video a day?!?).
Enjoy.
